Kenzo team up with Vans

After successful team-ups with the likes of Japanese designer Taka Hayashi, Vans is launching a sneaker line designed by the fashion house Kenzo and inspired by its Spring 2012 runway collection.

As founders of US boutique Opening Ceremony, Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim were keen to infuse a classic American aesthetic into the Paris-based label Kenzo.

The footwear range, available for both men and women, will be released during three separate intervals across May, June and July at Kenzo stores, Kenzo.com, and selected specialist retailers. Prices will begin at €90.

This new release comes as sneakers are becoming the latest fashion fad. Nike’s team-up with UK store Liberty London for a floral Spring 2012 collection indicates to one of the most universal prints of the Spring/Summer 2012 runway shows, while Isabel Marant’s high top sneakers have been one of the most desied shoes of the year so far.
